Sneakersnstuff‘s journey to becoming one of the world’s best sneaker boutiques began in 1999 with its first store opening in Stockholm. As part of its continued celebration of 25 years in the business, the retailer and brand is collaborating with Adidas on a capsule invoking the very neighborhood where it all started.

The Sneakersnstuff x Adidas “25 Years on Södermalm” capsule channels the Stockholm island neighborhood through a small range of terrace staples that includes the Samba, a tracksuit and ringer tees. At first glance, the SNS Samba appears just like the model’s staple black and white colorway. But what could be mistaken for black leather is actually a shade of dark green chosen for green and white’s ubiquity on Södermalm. The green is better seen on the leather’s exposed edges, while the T-bar deviates from the standard black on black look in grey suede. On the tongue you’ll also find dual-brand embossing, and the two collaborators are also accounted for on the insole graphics.

Sneakernstuff last linked with Adidas for a soccer-inspired sneaker trio including the rare Samba JP released in June during the Euro 2024 tournament.

The original Sneakernstuff location remains open, and locations have also expanded to include London, Paris and Berlin. Sneakernstuff’s Los Angeles and New York City locations, the latter of which included a basement bar, both shuttered in January but are expected to be replaced with new spots in the future.

The Sneakernstuff x Adidas Samba “25 Years on Södermalm” will release August 23 in stores and the following day online. Pricing is set at $130, and sign-ups for the drawing are open now.
