Melissa and Marc Jacobs are joining forces once again for a summer-ready capsule collection of shiny silver platforms, jelly flats, and modern mules. It follows the their first collaboration with newly on-trend designer summer sandal silhouettes that are equally supportive, sustainable, and stylish for a season’s worth of wear (and then some).

What do you get when you meld Marc Jacobs’ elevated grunge attitude with Melissa’s Y2K shoe aesthetic? Platform soles and jelly uppers, of course! For their first time around in June 2023, the Melissa x Marc Jacobs collaboration featured three head-turning styles inspired by the color palette of the designer’s ready-to-wear collection, with Marc Jacobs signature monogram print embossed along the soles and uppers of each new style. The chunky, EVA-cushioned clog — which has amassed 2.6 million views and searches on TikTok since its release — arrived in beige, black, and cobalt blue colorways, as well as a metallic silver finish that’s taking new form in super-stacked platform slide sandals for summer 2024.

While last year’s capsule collection featured tones like black, white, red, and blue, the 2024 collaboration plays far more neutral, with gray jelly tints and gleaming all-over silver and gilded gold colorways that are easier to style with colorful summer dressesbaggy jeans, or your favorite swimsuit by the pool. Plus, the silver slides pose an opportunity for tying in other metallic finishes that shine in your wardrobe, like top-trending silver handbags or lustrous minimalist jewelry.

Also available to shop today is a cool jelly ballet flat, which takes this season’s “naked shoe” trend in stride. It dons totally translucent uppers that are finished with a reflective silver placard above the toe, offering a playful, early-aughts twist to last summer’s chic mesh ballet flats trend. And, if you’re looking for a little more glam-factor in a similar pedicure-popping upper, the collection’s new mule features a contemporary, angled block heel with open toes that’s effortlessly versatile for day to night wear.

Melissa and Marc Jacobs shoes are specially-constructed with recyclable, bio-based Melflex PVC uppers and soles, along with EVA cushioned footbeds that are not only plush and lightweight underfoot, but is also fuss-free to wipe clean — a serious selling point that’ll certainly come in handy for sandy beach days or sweaty city-slicking.

Below, shop the limited-edition Melissa X Marc Jacobs summer 2024 capsule collection that’s bound to sell out by day’s end.
